Fun place , food for the most part good HOWEVER the BBQ chicken sandwich was terrible 😞, the chicken was like leather so hard to chew It couldn’t even be chewed. I had to spit out half of the first one. The bartender even had another made for me. Just as tough. Really suggest they get another vendor for their chicken. Otherwise a fun place , we go every year and have to make it our stop.

BEWARE Marriott guests! Yesterday,, I was charged $50 for a cheeseburger. After the server took my credit card and voucher she returned claiming that drinks weren't covered by the Marriott voucher . However, NO exclusion was printed on it. I asked for a $25 gift card or additional food purchase for the balance and was refused by the hostess/manager.

We ordered two orders of fish and chips by having to go into the bar, which we did. out was ten minute wait, I thought at the time that was pretty good. When we arrived back at our place and opened the rather expensive takeout, it was cold and hard, the fries were also cold. I find it hard to believe that out of few people that handle my order from star to delivery, did not realize he awfulness of what they were serving . There is no way I could have any of our family, friends and acquaintances .

AS ALWAYS…..Brenneckes on Poipu Beach delivers again!! Service, food, drinks and view/atmosphere are all “top shelf”. We’ve continued to stop here several times with each visit on Kauai’i. My wife and I had one of the best Ever Thanksgiving dinners here yesterday. The very friendly service and live music was great but the food 'was to die for'. Excellent Thanksgiving feast with all the fix'ins but the turkey was PERFECTLY cooked !!! Truly a grand experience 👍

We enjoyed a fabulous Thanksgiving feast today. The food was wonderful and the service was great.

We came in without a reservation and with the help of the amazing hostess we're able to get a table after a short wait (it was a tues, not a weekend mind you, the wait would probably have been longer on a weekend). The hostess's bright smile and welcoming nature started a beautiful night for us. The entire staff was so great. Our server Lexi was really helpful with the menu choices. Every staff member that walked by smiled. It was a very upbeat positive atmosphere. I'm sure I'd be in a good mood too if I worked with that view, but anymore these days it seems like good, friendly, hardworking service is a rarety. The food was delicious. We had a party of 6 and we were all happy with our meals. We asked the manager to come over so we could compliment Julie M (our hostess) and Lexi (our server) and it quickly became evident to us that the big smiles and fun personalities had a trickle down from management. Jabriel (the manager) was so nice and ended up giving us some great travel recommendations as well. We went back on Saturday 7/1 for a great happy hour and sat in the bar and had amazing service again. I didn't get everyone's name that day but the bartender, and servers (Lexi was there again, Landon, and a handsome African American server, and pretty brunette bartender) were just as wonderful. Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone there for being so great at your jobs and making our experience at your restaurant so wonderful. We will always come back again when we are in Kauai. Oh and P. S. The older gentleman in the retail store downstairs on Sat and the the other gentleman working tues 6/27 were so nice and friendly too!

Brenneckes is great, super view, friendly and lots of aloha ;good food, good drinks, help with actvities, and also renting snorkel gear next door at Nukumoi . And, they are right across the road from Poipu Beach.. It has been kind of a custom for us, after10 years as Kamahaina, and now we are in Dana Point, Ca, .and we will be visitors, Siting up , after arrival at , Brenneckes Bar will be our first stop for our first island style Maitais, Denny Jackson Erica Watson [email protected].

Our first evening in Kauai, and having no idea where to eat we decided to try your restaurant because we had driven by it when checking out the beach. When we arrived, we were told as walkins it would be a two hour wait. I couldn’t imagine that that was actually true so we hung out had a drink with an appetizer and we waited. When I went to the bar and asked the bartender to make me a specific drink, he was a little bent out of shape when I asked him to make it a specific way for me. He actually made some snide remark regarding “don’t tell me how to make a drink”but said it under his breath so I couldn’t really catch him on it, after waiting incredibly long for a table we finally slipped into two seats at the bar luckily not having to deal with the bartender who made the snide remark to me . We ordered something very typical, the crusted mahi, and some scallops over risotto. To say that the dishes were completely underwhelming is an understatement. After leaving your establishment and having conversations with other people in the area regarding restaurants, I was told that yours has one of the worst reputations, wish I had done more research before we decided to make you our first stop on our vacation. You have the location and that’s about it it..

Got takeout fish and chips. Tried to order online and by phone, but apparently those options aren't available, regardless of what the website says. Ordered in person and the wait wasn't long. Unfortunately, it came out of the kitchen completely cold! Really??? Any cheap burger shop can do better that this! Disgusting! Never again!
